Fire & Metal - Hands and Arms

In Part 1, Lorie and Sohial will share their thoughts on underlying theoretical and psychological considerations when choosing to include Spirit Points in a clinical setting. Then they will turn to specific Spirit Points on the Fire and Metal meridians on the hands and arms.

👉 Exploration of the points will be augmented by case presentations, etymology of Chinese characters, mythical associations, specific treatment strategy suggestions as well as experiential explorations by participants.

🔥 This series is an integration of Lorie Dechar and Sohial Farzam's long-term work on emotional empowerment and transcending trauma.

🔥 References will be made to classical texts as well as Lorie’s books, Five Spirits and Kigo: Exploring the Spiritual Essence of Acupuncture Points Through the Changing Seasons.

Objectives for Part One

1. Students will understand the theory behind the idea of Spirit Points as well as their psycho-spiritual implications.

2. Students will learn eight specific, psycho-spiritually active points on the Fire Channels of the Triple Heater, Pericardium, Small Intestine, and Heart.

3. Students will learn six specific psycho-spiritually active points on the Metal Channels of the Lungs and Large Intestine.

Breakdown of Part 1

☑️ Hour One: Introduction to the Philosophy of Spirit Points. Discussion of underlying theoretical and psychological considerations when choosing to include Spirit Points in a clinical setting (lecture format)

☑️ Hour Two: Discussion of eight specific, psycho-spiritually active points on the Fire Channels of the Triple Heater, Pericardium, Small Intestine, and Heart (lecture / experiential format)

☑️ Hour Three: Discussion of six specific psycho-spiritually active points on the Metal Channels of the Lungs and Large Intestine (lecture / experiential format)
